M. Richard Sapir



M. Richard Sapir: born in Mineola, New York, December 29, 1952, admitted to the Florida Bar, 1978, U. S. District Court, Southern District of Florida. Education: University of Pennsylvania (B.A.,1975); University of Miami School of Law (J.D., 1978). Areas of practice include business and real property law, land use, zoning, and corporate matters. Rated (AV) from Martindale-Hubbell, Mr. Sapir has been honored by peer review in Florida Trend’s Legal Elite 2011 for expertise in business law. He has extensive experience in the area of condominium and home owner association representation, in representing brokerage interests, as well as in drafting and negotiating documents for major institutional property owners and tenants. Land use approvals obtained for clients include a major South Florida theme park and the first municipally approved traffic calming plan for a community within the City of West Palm Beach. Prior to forming his own professional association, Mr. Sapir was affiliated with the West Palm Beach offices of national law firm, Kay, Scholer, LLP, and Florida law firm, Carlton Fields. Palm Beach County Code Enforcement Board (1998-1999), Palm Beach County Citizens’ Task Force (1990-1996), Palm Beach County Affordable Housing Committee (1987-1989), West Palm Beach Zoning Board of Appeal (1986-1989), and Chairman, Palm Beach County Zoning Board of Adjustment (1980-1987). He is currently a member of the Palm Beach County Impact Fee Appeals Board and serves as a guardian ad-litem in the Palm Beach County Juvenile Court System. He has also served as a volunteer for the North County Humane Society, Busch Wildlife Sanctuary, and Palm Beach County Animal Care and Control.
